Wonder for Dash and Dot Robots
Wonder for Dash and Dot Robots is an educational and reference app designed for children aged 8 and up. Developed by WONDER WORKSHOP INC., this app requires a Wonder Workshop robot - Dash or Dot - and a Bluetooth Smart/4.0/LE-enabled device to play. With a picture-based language and guided challenges, Wonder allows kids to have fun with robotics and learn coding skills independently.
The app features over 50 challenges that teach coding with Wonder, taking kids on coding adventures through various environments such as the African Grasslands, the Arctic Wilderness, and Outer Space. Children can transform Dot into a trumpet, a Pong arcade, or a desert race drifter, while Dash becomes a ferocious lion, a space explorer, or a partner in a game of Marco Polo.
In addition to the pre-designed challenges, children can also create their own inventions using the coding canvas provided by Wonder. The app allows users to save their code on the robot, so it can be run without being connected to an iPhone or iPad. Wonder Workshop has received recognition from reputable sources such as the New York Times, USA TODAY, WIRED, and Engadget.
Please note that this app is free to play, but requires the purchase of a Wonder Workshop robot. For more information, please visit the developer's website or an Apple Store.
